Financial Aid Office signs a Cooperation Agreement with the Education For All Children (EFAC) to support needy students' access to education.
The Dedan Kimathi University of Technology Financial Aid Office (DeFAO) was established in September 2021 with the responsibility of guiding and supporting needy students. The office, which is domiciled under the Registrar, Academic Affairs and Research, seeks to enhance and diversify sources of funds to support needy students and ensure that such students continue with their studies uninterrupted.
Currency, the office has several financial aid programmes within the University, such as;
- Work-Study. This robust programme provides students with an opportunity to work as they pursue their studies.
- Bursaries. The office receives bursaries from the University and external sources such as CDF and county bursaries.
On 23rd August 2022, the office signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Education For All Children (EFAC) to support needy students' access to education. Together with EFAC, the office will identify strong candidates who demonstrate academic talent, leadership potential and financial need.
